| Europe is a continent
where it is estimated that at least 85 percent of all
people live in urban areas. Europe is a continent where
millions of students learn in renowned universities,
like the universities of Prague, Paris, Berlin, Madrid,
Milan, or Athens. Europe is a continent that has thousands
of children and immigrant children playing in urban
areas and looking for something to do. For these reasons,
the Europe Region of the Assemblies of God has a focus.
The focus is Cities, Campuses,
Children, and Culturally-Diverse Communities .
We believe that to effectively preach the gospel and
disciple people into heaven, we need to reach the cities'
pluralistic people groups with their religions; we need
to reach the campuses where ideology and philosophy-but
not God-consciousness-is taught; and we need to reach
the children who are growing up in a society where less
than one-third of those surveyed in a recent Europe
values survey believed in God.

PRAYER WORKS
September 22, 2008
Mike and Lynne Chandler, AGWM personnel in Croatia, were excited to report on the visit of a prayer team from California. They said "It was a very moving experience having the team here to pray and we have seen a major shift over Zagreb and surrounding area in the spirit realm...much more favor and openness. God is good and prayer works!"
Very early the first morning, the team met at the old city gate of Zagreb. They started praying at sunrise, and later in the day went on a prayer walk through the old center of the city where drug dealing and prostitution is ongoing. From there they went to the government square and prayed at the parliament and prime minister's buildings. The day concluded by praying and worshiping with guitar at sunset at a medieval fortress overlooking the city. The music was so good that people in the restaurant inside the fortress heard it and asked the guitar player to play for them later when the team went inside for dinner. It was a great day, and things just got better and better as the week went on.
The team ministered in four churches around the country of Croatia. There were challenging messages preached by a national pastor, encouraging the believers to pray for signs and miracles that would reach the people in the land. There were testimonies of physical healings and encouraging prophetic words. The Chandlers and Croatian pastors feel that there are good days ahead spiritually for Croatia.
