FROM KID'S QUEST TO KID'S CLUB

June 20, 2008

The local Pentecostal church in Breclav, Czech Republic hosted a children's evangelism outreach called "Kid's Quest.  On the first night of the three-day program, 80-100 children filled the sanctuary.  More children came the second night as word spread about this fun and interesting program.  The church was filled to capacity on the final night with an estimated 150 children and adults in attendance.

Likely for the first time in their lives, those present heard a clear presentation of the Gospel.  When the invitation was given to receive Jesus as personal Lord and Savior, 6 children raised their hands to indicate they wanted to do so.

Assemblies of God missionary Andrea Morrison attended the Kid's Quest program.  She states, "During the memory verse section of the program, I was struck with the thought that the children were learning for the first time truths from God's Word...and having fun doing it!  Prior to that moment they probably had never even heard of the Bible, and now they were memorizing verses from it.

Associate pastor Karel Kana reports that the church is now starting its first ever children's club which is spring-boarding from the Kid's Quest program.  Currently about 15 children from non-believing families are attending.  He has hopes that this club will continue to grow.
