Randy and Diane McGehee, AGWM personnel preparing to go to Florence, Italy, share their vision for an international church to be planted in that city.  Even though this work has not yet begun, people are seeing the potential of the vision and want to be a part of reaching the multitude of internationals coming into Italy! The McGehee's see the possibility of reaching the nations worldwide just by raising up a church in Florence in the midst of the 250,000 immigrants now living around that city. It is a vision of discipling those who believe, training them in God’s Word and releasing them into their mission field -- to “go and make disciples of all nations…” (Matt. 28:19).

Just recently the McGehees received word that 2 million Libyans are waiting at the borders of their country for permission to come into Italy. They stated, "We desperately need to get to Italy so we can prepare a place for them. A place where they can find fellowship, care, and find the true hope and meaning for their lives."

In February one of the couples from the international church in Rome, Italy, spent 5 days walking the streets of Florence and praying for the planting of International Christian Fellowship (ICF) Florence. They reported a powerful sense of God’s direction and timing.  They felt God saying that now is the time for a harvest among the international community.

The McGehees received a forwarded email from an international student in Florence. She has been in Florence for 2 years and has searched for an English-speaking Pentecostal church but found none.  She wanted to know how quickly they will be coming because she already knows of several other students who are also looking for such a church. This is only one of many emails they are now beginning to receive. The McGehees feel the urgency to "get there".
